VW Medical Services brings in new doctor

Van Wert Medical Services has welcomed Jianming Han, M.D., as a physician in family medicine.

Han joins Matthew Miller, M.D., and Allison Harting, C.N.P., in suite 201 of Van Wert Medical Services to provide exceptional care to their patients’ entire family, from newborns to seniors.

“Joining the family practice at Van Wert Medical Services, I know that I will be a part of a team of great physicians and staff members,” Han said. “I am passionate about providing patient-centered care and am committed to providing the best possible health care to my patients.”

Dr. Han was a family physician with Bloomington Medical Services in Wooster before coming to Van Wert. She received her medical degree from Tianjin Medical University in China in 1996 and then earned a doctorate from Marshall University School of Medicine in West Virginia.

Dr. Han made her way to Ohio in 2004 and was here until 2007, when she completed her residency at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, before returning in 2009 to practice family medicine in Wooster.

“Dr. Han truly cares about her patients and about caring for the entire person — body, mind and spirit,” said Dr. Jennifer Hohman, medical staff president for Van Wert County Hospital. “When working in family medicine, you need to possess excellent communication skills to be able to build relationships with patients who are at various ages and stages of their life. Dr. Han is able to provide medical guidance and do so in a way that all patients can understand.”
