Grimes gets promotion at First Federal

The Board of Directors of First Federal Savings & Loan of Van Wert has announced the promotion of Suzie Grimes to chief financial officer.

Grimes began her career at First Federal in November 2007 as accounting clerk. She was promoted to comptroller in 2013.

Grimes is a graduate of Van Wert High School and the University of Northwestern Ohio, where she majored in accounting and business administration. For the last five years, Grimes has been actively involved with the United Way of Van Wert County and currently is treasurer of the United Way.

She is a graduate of the Van Wert Leadership class and served on its Leadership Committee.

Grimes is married to Jon Grimes and has one son, Gavin Cross, and a stepson, Travis Grimes.
