Translator TV station created in Van Wert

VW independent/submitted information

WOHW-LD is now broadcasting from its transmission site located on North Wall Street in Van Wert. The translator station simulcasts WTLW, Channel 44, in Lima and its sister station, WOSN, a regional sports network. The channels display on television tuners as 44.1 and 44.2.

According to WTLW General Manager Kevin Bowers, many Van Wert residents have requested an alternative for receiving WTLW and WOSN signals.

“We believe this is a solution to better serve Van Wert County,” he said. “We changed frequencies from 44 to 4 last year, and that has been problematic for many Van Wert viewers,” he said.

Viewers must rescan their televisions to receive the signal. An outdoor antenna pointed toward the north end of Van Wert offers the best scenario for reception.

Viewers are encouraged to contact WTLW for assistance by calling 419.339.4444 or by email at contact@wtlw.com.
