Sunday, May 1, 3:14 a.m – investigated a theft complaint in the 800 block of E. Main St.

Sunday, May 1, 11:45 a.m. – while investigating a prior theft at Walmart, another shoplifter was caught. He was trespassed from the store and was told if he returned he would be arrested.

Sunday, May 1, 3:20 p.m. – Donald Lewis, 58, of Van Wert, was arrested on a warrant out of Van Wert County Common Pleas Court and for possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Sunday, May 1, 4:13 p.m. – arrested Brandon Clark, 25, of Van Wert, for domestic violence after an altercation in the 400 block of S. Franklin St.

Sunday, May 1, 5:33 p.m. – received a report of damage to a tire in the 400 block of S. Franklin St.

Sunday, May 1, 7:47 p.m. – investigated a domestic violence complaint in the 700 block of E. Main St.

Monday, May 2, 10:51 a.m. – Brandon Decker, 24, of Van Wert, was arrested at the Comfort Inn on an outstanding warrant from Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

Monday, May 2, 3:57 p.m. – Justin David Murphy, 34, of Van Wert, was arrested on a warrant from Van Wert Municipal Court while at the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office.

Monday, May 2, 5:01 p.m. – received a report of an attempted burglary in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St.

Tuesday, May 3, 10:24 a.m. – received a report of vehicle registration theft from the 800 block of W. Main St.

Tuesday, May 3, 11:14 a.m. – received a report of an unwanted party in the 500 block of Spencer St.

Wednesday, May 4, 8:15 a.m. – arrested a 16-year-old girl for domestic violence after an alternation at a Blaine St. residence. She was taken to the Van Wert County Juvenile Probation Office.

Wednesday, May 4, 3:06 p.m. – arrested a juvenile after an assault at Fountain Park.

Wednesday, May 4, 7:57 p.m. – arrested Dean A. Kirkendall, 64, in the 1000 block of N. Linden Drive on a warrant from Hancock County Common Pleas Court.

Thursday, May 5, 7:58 p.m. – arrested Gloria Diaz for domestic violence after an incident in the 800 block of E. Main St.

Friday, May 6, 4:14 p.m. – investigated an assault complaint at Van Wert Middle School.

Sunday, May 8, 10:04 p.m. – cited Tori Thatcher, 30, of Van Wert for animals at-large and an annual animal registration violation after an incident in the 1100 block of E. Central Ave.
