Van Wert Police

August 4, 6:22 a.m. — Gregory A. Foster, 36, of 9277 Richey Road, was charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct after officers investigating a suspicious person complaint allegedly found Foster hiding in the ceiling of the office area of Irving Concrete of Ohio, 211 N. Lynn St.

August 3, 6:16 p.m. — Donald R. Cordray II, 49, of St. Marys, was charged with disorderly conduct after officers allegedly found him passed out and intoxicated in the 600 block of South Washington Street.

August 4, 2:14 p.m. — A resident in the 1000 block of Pearson Street reported a break-in at his house.

August 3, 7:01 a.m. — A resident of the 200 block of Burt Street reported the theft of medications from that residence.

August 4, 9:38 a.m. — The theft of copper pipe was reported from the Van Rue Building (former county hospital), 714 E. Central Ave.

Delphos Police

August 4, 1:33 p.m. — Anthony Sparrow, 46, of Delphos, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Allen County, Ind., for probation violation. He was transported to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility for pick-up by Indiana authorities.

August 4, 4:32 p.m. — Glenn Feathers, 48, of Delphos, was reportedly involved in a one-car accident in front of Baked to Perfection, located in the 100 block of East Fifth Street. Feathers’ vehicle hit a power pole, causing heavy damage to his vehicle and causing a power outage that resulted in AEP having to replace the broken-off power pole and downed power lines. Feathers was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI), driving under suspension, failure to maintain reasonable control, a seatbelt violation and failure to display license plates on a motor vehicle. He was also transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
