September 25, 5:39 p.m. — The theft of items was reported by an employee of Main Street Market.

September 23, 10:13 p.m. — Cory J. Schaffer, 33, of 226 N. Wayne St., was cited for an open container violation while in the 400 block of East Central Avenue.

September 25, 6:12 p.m. — Martha Marie Densel, 61, of 420 N. Chestnut St., was cited for obstructing justice while being interviewed for a shoplifting incident.

September 21, 2:30 p.m. — Caleb Mech, 21, of 510 Gordon Ave., was charged with criminal damaging for allegedly throwing a knife at a wall of the band pavilion in Fountain Park.

September 24, 2:54 a.m. — Jessica L. Kazee, 33, of 621 E. Central Ave., was cited for operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) in connection with a traffic stop near the intersection of Race Street and Ervin Road.

September 24, 5:03 p.m. — A wall of the men’s restroom at Eggerss Stadium was reportedly damaged.

September 24, 12:10 a.m. — Kyle T. Sterrett, 31, of 318 N. Washington St., was cited for an open container violation while near the intersection of Haley Street and Van Wert-Decatur Road.

September 25, 12:39 p.m. — Jeremy J. Grenzebach, 30, of 208 W. Crawford St., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear issued in Allen County, Ohio.

September 19, 11:27 p.m. — Donald C. Sharp, 52, of 687 N. Walnut St., was charged with burglary, disorderly conduct, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was found in a residence in the 200 block of South Wayne Street.

September 18, 3:25 a.m. — Travis E. Baker, 31, of 316 S. Wayne St., was cited for disorderly conduct after he was found to be intoxicated in the 800 block of Greenewald Street.

September 17, 9:04 p.m. — Tyler P. Coll, 18, of 402 E. Main St., and Jackson A. Young, 17, of 1022 Westchester Court, were cited for underage possession of alcohol related to a traffic stop near the intersection of Jefferson and Crawford streets.

September 18, 9:40 p.m. — Greg A. Glander Jr., 29, of 643 N. Franklin St., Apt. 6, was arrested on a warrant issued in Van Wert Municipal Court.

September 18, 5 p.m. — A 15-year-old girl was arrested for theft in connection with a shoplifting incident at the local Walmart Supercenter, 301 Towne Center Blvd.

September 17, 7:51 a.m. — A Van Wert resident reported being robbed of money and jewelry while in the 200 block of South Vine Street. The robber was described as being a white male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, of medium build and with shoulder-length gray hair. He was said to be wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and pants.

September 22, 3:09 p.m. — Colton Bidlack, 16, was charged with one count of illegal conveyance of a deadly weapon into a school zone after a shotgun was discovered in his vehicle while it was parked at Vantage Career Center.

September 18, 6:20 p.m. — Brian M. Shields, 29, of 228 Burt St., was charged with criminal damaging after he broke a window in a vehicle that was parked at his residence.

September 20, 1:59 p.m. — Damage was reported to property at Jubilee Park.

September 16, 2:12 a.m. — Lorenzo J. Frye, 22, of 326 S. Franklin St., was charged with criminal damaging for allegedly breaking glass in the front of the former Juan Recuerdos Restaurant, 212 E. Main St.
