Lincolnview celebrates Veterans’ Day

Lincolnview Schools held a Veterans’ Day Celebration on November 11.  Over 40 Veterans attended the program with their Lancer family members and were honored with a certificate of appreciation from the school.  A recognition portion of the program honored veterans who could not attend or are currently serving, with over 60 names being announced.

During the memorial portion of the program, a moment of silence was held.  Then, over 40 names were read in remembrance of veterans.  Eric Miglin paid Taps as tribute to those we have lost.

Mrs. Renner & Mrs. Johnson would like to thank the Lincolnview staff, students, and community for helping to make our Veterans’ Day Program a success. Lincolnview is very proud of all Veterans and grateful for the service they gave to our country.   And Mrs. Renner would like to remind everyone that our veterans are treasures, so make certain you thank a veteran not only on Veterans’ Day… but all year long.

The clothing Give Away will be held on Monday November 21, 4:30-8:30 p.m., and Tuesday November 22, noon-8 p.m., during Parent Teacher Conferences in the Elementary Cafeteria. We have received a large amount of clothing items.  If you are in need of clothing for your family, please come and help yourself. Remember there are no questions asked.  We will have some bags available for you to use. We will have signs directing you to the cafeteria if you are unfamiliar with the building.  So that no one has to feel uncomfortable about shopping, there will be no one in the cafeteria except for other shoppers.

Lancer yearbooks will be on sale through next Tuesday. Cost is $45 and checks may be made payable to Lincolnview Local Schools. Orders may be placed in the high school office or at lunch. You may also order online at yearbookordercenter.com or by phone at 1.866.287.3096. There will be no extra copies available for sale next year, so buy yours now!

The Guidance Office would like to remind everyone about the College Information Session being held on Monday, November 21 from 7-8 p.m., during Parent Teacher conferences.
