Van Wert Police

February 3, 8:28 p.m. — Laura J. Roberts, 32, of 840 Elson Ave., was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as a result of an investigation into an unrelated incident at her residence.

February 3, 10:53 p.m. — Donald L. Brown, 47, of 479 Neel Ave., was arrested for obstructing official business and disorderly conduct after police investigated a report that Brown was riding a bicycle in the 700 block of Fox Road while intoxicated and was falling off the bike.

February 4, 4:48 p.m. — Karen Parsons, 40, of Defiance, was arrested in Lima on a warrant for failing to appear in Van Wert Municipal Court.

February 5, 7:12 p.m. — A window of a residence in the 300 block of North Tyler Street was reportedly shot out.

February 4, 6:31 p.m. — A juvenile resident of The Marsh Foundation’s Vance Hall was charged with assault, a felony of the fifth-degree, for allegedly assaulting a staff member there.

February 2, 6:50 p.m. — The theft of a safe containing articles of jewelry and other items was reported in the 900 block of Kear Road.

February 1, 9:31 p.m. — Jay Alan Clem, 52, of 702 Elm St., was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Forest Avenue.
