Van Wert Police

February 18, 2:55 a.m. — Donald E. Lewis, 47, of 510 Shaffer St., was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) and driving under a license suspension as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Jackson and Franklin streets.

February 17, 1:35 a.m. — Gage T. Niece, 21, of Berne,  Ind., was charged with OVI and possession of Schedule IV drugs, as a result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Washington Street. A passenger in his vehicle, Zachary Wade Galloway, 20, of Geneva, Ind., was charged with underage consumption.
