2:36 p.m. – Dispatched Van Wert Fire to an area of Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township for a report of utility lines down and sparking.

3:02 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of Carpenter Road in Washington Township for a report of a stop sign being down.

3:30 p.m. – Deputies spoke with a resident from the Village of Ohio City regarding a complaint of child neglect.

3:55 p.m. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township for a subject having a diabetic emergency.

6:13 p.m. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert Common Pleas Court for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. Sonny Andrew Metzger, 51, of Van Wert, is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

7:03 p.m. – Deputies responded to a location on Mendon Road in Ridge Township to check the welfare of horses.

7:22 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence on South Central Street in the Village of Ohio City to check an open line 911 call.

7:45 p.m. – Deputies spoke with a resident from Hoaglin Center Road in Hoaglin Township regarding a complaint of animal cruelty.

11:44 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of Mayfair Street in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police Department.
