Lancer cafeteria makes some changes

The students involved in this year’s theatre production of “Little Shop of Horrors” have been busy rehearsing their lines and songs.  Practices have been coming along quite well.  This weekend the cast and crew will build the set at the Marsh auditorium.  Next week they begin rehearsing on the stage.  Tickets for the show are on sale from theatre members, by emailing ckraner@lincolnview.k12.oh.us or by calling the school.  Check out our blogs on the Times-Bulletin website www.timesbulletin.com to read about the cast and crew members along with the progess of the show.  Plan now to attend “Little Shop of Horrors” on Saturday, March 17, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m.  This is a unique show with some surprising characters, including a flesh-eating plant.

Next week, the Freshman class of 2015 will be selling Pizza Hut cards, which are good for 6 months and include 5 discounts to use along with your purchase of a pizza. Cost of the card is $10 and may be ordered from any of the freshman class members or by contacting Miss Rachel Rohrs either by phone (419.968.2214) or email at rrohrs@lincolnview.k12.oh.us. Thanks to all who support this project!

The Lincolnview cafeteria is now providing healthier choices for the students in Junior High and High School, as well as the staff. A salad bar was started recently for a healthier option for lunch. The salad bar meets the guidelines for a lunch under the National School Lunch Program. The students have been excited about this option for their lunch. The Lincolnview cafeteria has begun offering a salad bar instead of the chef salad.  The price is $2.80 for adults and $2.30 for students.  The salad bar is located in the line on the High School side that goes through the kitchen. The salad bar allows staff and students to select from the following toppings: croutons, peas, broccoli, tomatoes, cheese, ham, turkey, carrots and bacon bits to customize their salad.  A big thank you goes to Carol Williams and the cafeteria staff for going the extra mile to see that our students are offered one more healthy food choice in addition to the regular lunches. Thanks to all who are patronizing the school cafeteria!
