Van Wert Police

July 14, 9:29 p.m. — Allen D. McMillen, 28, of 14396 Ohio 116 in Van Wert, was charged with obstructing official business after he tried to avoid arrest on a bond violation warrant while at the Comfort Inn, 840 N. Washington St. Officers said McMillen fled but was caught after a brief foot chase.

July 16, 12:08 p.m. — Rikki M. Vermilion, 26, of 507 Bonnewitz Ave., was arrested on a probation violation warrant issued in Van Wert Municipal Court.
