Van Wert Police

September 23, 9:57 p.m. — David Seibert, 19, of 1008½ E. Main St., was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia while at the Municipal Building, 515 E. Main St.

September 23, 1:49 a.m. — Aaron D. Mandredonia, 23, of Fort Wayne, Ind., was cited for driving while impaired (OVI) as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Shannon Street.

September 21, 10:40 p.m. — Erik M. Placke, 23, of Middle Point, was charged with driving while under a license suspension, possession of marijuana and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Street and Fisher Avenue. A passenger in the vehicle, Rita J. Placke, 52, also of Middle Point, was cited for an open container violation, while another passenger, Terrance A. Cole, 39, of 146 Blaine St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and an open container violation.

September 22, 4:29 p.m. — Shawn M. Thomas, 27, of 10052 Lincoln Highway, Apt. 6, was charge with OVI as a result of a traffic stop in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 parking lot.

September 20, 4:54 p.m. — Patrick Sweeten, 55, of Paulding, was cited for disorderly conduct twice, the first time at the Brookside Convenience Store on West Main Street and the second time in the 800 block of North Franklin Street.

September 20, 3:33 p.m. — Anastasia E. Corp, 19, of 412 S. Washington St., was charged with theft as a result of a shoplifting incident at the local Walmart Super Center, 301 Towne Center Blvd.

September 20, 7:44 p.m. — Amber N. Myers, 29, of 635 N. Franklin St., Apt. 3, was charged with theft as a result of a shoplifting incident at the local Walmart store.
