Brant is Lincolnview Homecoming Queen

Congratulations to Mrs. Cox's first grade class at Lincolnview Elementary for all their hard working raising money to help save the manatees! Together the class raised $679 by selling suckers. The class performed the fundraiser in conjunction with the ocean unit they have been studying. (Photo submitted.)

There were three lovely ladies seeking the title of queen during Lincolnview’s Homecoming, which was held Feb. 8 at the Paulding game. Between the JV and Varsity games Kaitlyn Brant was crowned queen and Corey Bowen was crowned king.

This week has been FFA week and we have held a number of activities. The students and staff were encouraged to wear their FAN shirt to school on Tuesday, their FFA shirts on Wednesday to support the FFA, their bibs on Thursday and on Friday dress like a farmer. The FFA has also been collecting money by holding a variety of contests. A Penny Stall was held during various class periods. Students were encouraged to bring in their pennies and deposit them in a bucket. The teacher of that class had to count the pennies before the class could start.  Also, each day a Homerun Derby and 3 point contest was held in the gymnasium during lunch. The Lincolnview faculty and staff were also treated to a breakfast in the Ag room on Thursday from 7-8:30 a.m. All money collected

throughout the week will be donated to the Children’s Hospital on Lincolnview FFA’s behalf.

The Lincolnview Athletic Booster club will hold their annual Ball Drop at the Lancer’s last home game this Friday, Feb. 22, when they take on Allen East.  Purchase your ticket at the game for a chance to win half of the proceeds.  Each ticket is $10 and the money raised benefits all Lancer athletes.  Thank you for your support!
