Boys Golf Team does well

Congratulations to the Boys Golf Team for an exceptional season. Even though the team placed sixth at Sectionals, they shot their best round of golf for the year on 18 holes with a score of 347. The team was also runners-up in the NWC this year. The team had four of their members selected to the 2013 NWC Boys Golf All-Conference Team: First team – Joshah Rager; Honorable Mentions – Logan C. Miller, Justis Dowdy, and Derek Youtsey. Coach Daryl Dowdy was also named NWC Co-Coach of the Year.

Kindergarten students have been doing literacy and mathematical activities based on the theme of “Camping”.  On Friday, Oct. 4, they had a special Camping Day.  They participated in a scavenger hunt, made crafts, listened to an expert camper, Devin Sheets; ate a picnic lunch and brought in sleeping bags for a special movie.
