Veterans’ Day celebration planned

Lincolnview Local Schools is proud to announce a special Veterans’ Day Celebration to be held on Nov. 8. We would like to honor the veterans of our Lincolnview student body and staff. We, at Lincolnview, are very proud of the men and women who are bravely serving or have served our country. For this reason, we would like to honor them by announcing their name, branch, and family member(s) with whom they are attending in our High School Gymnasium. Lincolnview would also like to pay tribute to those who have served that are no longer with us by reading their name in a special memorial portion of the program. Please join us on Nov. 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium to help show our appreciation to our veterans. A small reception will be held for the veterans and their Lancer family member(s) after the program. Forms have been sent home with students. Please return your completed forms by Nov. 4, so that we can properly plan for the event. Any questions can be directed to Stephanie Renner (srenner@lincolnview.k12.oh.us) or by calling 419.968.2214, ext. 2217.
The cafeteria would also like to remind parents and students that they are able to check their lunch balances by going to the Lincolnview website. On the right side of the page, under Parents and Students is located a link, “Lunch Balances”. This link will help you and your student keep track of the daily lunch balance. It is updated daily after 4 p.m.
It’s the time of year to start cleaning out your closets. The Lincolnview Beta Club’s Clothing Exchange will be held during Parent-Teacher conferences, Nov. 25 and 26. Any member of our community who would like to donate used/new, good, clean clothes and coats with no stains, holes, rips or tears can drop them off at the school starting Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 22. We will take infant through adult size clothing. You can drop them off at the high school or elementary office. We ask that you do not send things other than clothing. If you have any questions, you can contact Brenda Leeth at 419.968.2214, ext. 3210. Any clothing items left over will be taken to a local agency, such as Goodwill and Salvation Army.
