Van Wert Police

May 2, 1:35 p.m. — An employee of The Marsh Foundation reported being threatened by a student. No charges were filed.

May 1, 3:40 a.m. — Michael Anthony Speakman, 19, of 247 Burt St., was charged with underage consumption as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Third Street.

May 1, 7:35 a.m. — Police investigated a report that someone spray-painted a derogatory remark on the side of the building housing Blueberry Hill restaurant, 732 W. Main St.

April 30, 3:21 a.m. — Karen Parsons, 39, of Defiance, was cited with driving while under a Financial Responsibility Act license suspension, as well as eluding and fleeing from police, after she ran from police following an attempted traffic stop in the 400 block of North Cherry Street.

April 29, 3:20 p.m. — Dennis L. Lee Sr., 63, of 238 N. Race St., was served with a warrant through Van Wert Municipal Court by the Van Wert County Health Department related to a property owned by Lee in Middle Point.

April 30, 12:31 a.m. — Danny W. Fee, 25, of Sulphur, La., was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license as a result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Washington Street.

May 1, 1:25 a.m. — Samantha J. Lacy, 19, of 1066 W. Main St., Apt. T, was arrested for domestic violence for allegedly assaulting her mother.

April 30, 2:38 a.m. — Eddy P. Blossom, 25, of Ohio City, was cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol (DUI) as a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington Street and Boyd Avenue.

April 29, 3:58 p.m. — Eric Rotsinger of Rotsinger Construction reported that someone was going through the mail at his business.

April 30, 6:30 p.m. — Kristina Diltz, 31, of 525 N. Chestnut St., was arrested for theft after she tried to take DVDs past the point-of-payment at the local Walmart Supercenter, 301 Towne Center Blvd.

April 28, 3:54 p.m. — A Van Wert man reported that two cell phones (Apple iPhones) were purchased using his name and social security number at a cost of $1,340.
