Van Wert Police

May 8, 1:24 a.m. — A woman reported that two tires on her vehicle were slashed while it was parked at the No. 2 reservoir.

May 6, 8:51 p.m. — A drive-away was reported at Certified Oil, 210 N. Washington St., with a person failing to pay for $15.01 worth of gasoline.

May 6, 7:27 p.m. — A Van Wert man reported the theft of a credit card and the unauthorized use of the card.

May 5, 5:34 p.m. — A resident of the 200 block of Jefferson Street reported finding marijuana in his backyard.

May 5, 4:40 p.m. — Brent L. Kline, 38, of 1008 E. Main St., was arrested for domestic violence for an incident that occurred in the city.

May 4, 8:09 p.m. — Two girls, one 14 years old and the other 15, were charged with theft after they were caught allegedly shoplifting at Dollar General, 1136 S. Shannon St.

May 5, 3 p.m. — An employee of Mace Body Shop, 315 N. Wall St., reported that a Penske rental truck later found to be stolen from Ferndale, Mich., was left at the local body shop.
