VW independent staff Van Wert City Schools officials are hosting an open house at Eggerss Stadium from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 27. Those attending will be able to walk on the new artificial turf, see the restored Cougar Pride Wall up close and personal, along with the refreshed scoreboard and the restored home side stands.

These two pickup trucks and an older model Chevrolet Trailblazer were involved in a parking lot accident at Walmart shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday.
