Van Wert independent news As expected, voter turnout was low for Tuesday’s general election. According to the Van Wert County Board of Elections, 3,764 of the county’s 20,157 registered voters (18.67 percent) cast ballots. That includes 2,552 ballots cast on Tuesday and 1,212 absentee ballots.
